Description
Crispy hot honey feta chicken with tender cutlets, creamy feta topping, and a sweet-spicy honey drizzle — a flavor-loaded protein dish that’s perfect for any night.
Ingredients
1/3 cup honey
1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
3/4 tsp chili flakes
2 chicken breasts (approx. 250g each)
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp each: onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup plain flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil (6–8 tbsp)
7 oz feta, crumbled
Instructions
1. Mix honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes. Warm and set aside.
2. Slice chicken horizontally to make 4 pieces.
3. Mix paprika, salt, and remaining seasonings.
4. Prepare 3 bowls: seasoned flour, beaten eggs, seasoned breadcrumbs.
5. Dredge chicken through each layer thoroughly.
6. Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
7. Transfer to wire rack.
8. Top each piece with crumbled feta.
9. Broil until feta is golden and slightly melted.
10. Drizzle hot honey over chicken and serve.
Notes
To reduce oil, use baked method: toast breadcrumbs and bake chicken at 430°F.
Hot honey can be stored in fridge up to 1 week.
Serve with greens, roasted potatoes, or couscous.
